Designing an Effective Notepad

When presenting your message in your notepads, it’s not like the way you do it with your brochure printing or booklets for example. For one thing, you have a very limited space to work on when notepad printing not because the size is too small compared to a catalog perhaps. But the difference is that in your notepad, you are only allowed to use a certain portion of the whole page.
You also cannot incorporate bright pictures or big fonts to accessorize your notepads. You need to be more subtle when it comes to your notepad printing as you have to provide enough space for it to be functional. Hence, there’s a need to present your marketing message in a different way – a more subtle way.
1-Avoid having loud designs.
Bear in mind that you need to be subtle with your design so as to keep your notepads functional. In addition to having a tool to convey your message, your notepad also functions as an item where your recipients write their notes on. It would be very difficult indeed for your clients to use it if there’s not much space for them to jot down their ideas. As such, the best designs are simple and understated that make it easy for your customers to use your notepad for their own purpose.
2-Provide an effective logo.
Since your logo would most likely be the only graphic image there in your notepad, be sure you have a very effective one – something to catch the attention of your clients as well as introduce your company to them. Your logo would be the one thing that can make them recognize and remember you. Hence, you need to make your logo look their best to reflect who you are and what kind of service you provide your customers.
Of course you can do that with the right choice of colors, design and fonts. Select the elements that would best describe your business. With the right design, you will always convey an image that is professional and efficient.
3-Use your header and footer wisely.
Maximize the space you have for your design by using your header and footer wisely. Apply your important marketing details in those areas. Since you cannot use the wide middle space in your print notepads anyway, make sure that you utilize the spaces where you can put all the information needed that will help your clients contact you right away.
4-Apply a watermark.
But if you think your logo, header and footer are still not enough as far as design goes, you can always add a watermark to your notepad printing. Not only does it add interest in your collateral, it also helps you convey further your message in your notepad.
