Who needs more traffic? ...What a stupid question!
EVERY site always needs more traffic!
Sure, there are many ways to get traffic. I use about all of them: PayPerClick, SEO, videos, articles, social sites, bookmarking sites, etc.
But you know what? Without SEO, I'd still be going to a "j-o-b" everyday.
Most beginners to Internet marketing are very attracted to Adwords. Google gladly points out that they can be "Advertising to Millions of People in Just 15 Minutes". That is true, but there is a really really big "BUT" that needs to come after that statement.
I tried PPC when I first began. I had about as much luck as 99% of those who first try it...ZERO. I spent way too much money beating that dead horse.
Don't get me wrong, I use and have success now days with AdWords. But the learning curve is quite steep.
Luckily, I ran out of money early trying to make AdWords work. I knew I wanted an online business (just to make some extra money at the time), so I had to find another way besides paying for clicks.
Luckily I found an information site about SEO. I fell in love with the idea of getting no-cost traffic from the search engines. I dug in and taught myself SEO the best I could.
To make a long story short, it worked! We began making some money sooner and easier than I could have hoped. Google became one of our very best friends!
Actually, about the only marketing method we used, up until my wife and I could both could quit our education jobs, was SEO. Since then, because we had more time, we've added many other marketing methods.
But SEO was our cash cow...and really still is for many of our AdSense, affiliate, and retail sites. I love how I can SEO a niche site and keep getting traffic to it even years later!
Look, here's the deal:
Traffic is the deal maker or breaker for online success. Once you know how to get quality traffic to your sites, the rest of the process of earning income with that traffic is amazingly easy. There are many income options for most sites...but you have to have traffic to make it work!
